Kidcycle uses a safe, web based program to tag your inventory. Handwritten tags will not be accepted. If at any time you have problems using the system, please feel free to contact us at info@kidcyclenc.com. It is our desire to keep this process quick and easy for everyone.
Supplies needed to tag items*:
- appropriate sized hangers
- safety pins- size 1 inch or larger, 2 inch works great for pants and larger clothing. (You may also use a tagging gun).
- packing tape
- white 60-67# card stock (light color card stock if you want your items returned)
- zip-lock storage bags.
*None of these items will be returned to you after the sale.
Entering your items into our system is quicker if you gather & organize first. The system remembers what you entered last so all you have to do is enter the price and description if it’s in the same category. Once you have entered a few items and are familiar with the categories (drop down list) you will fly through tagging your items! Entering your items does not have to be done all at once so feel free to log in and spend as much time as you need. But remember the deadlines so you aren’t caught short for time and miss out selling all the items you want.
Using the “Manage Inventory” screen, you can change (edit) tag info & pricing either by item or mass item, print inventory reports. Reports are based on the items you have entered into the system.
Print tags whenever you are ready. If you are donating your items after the sale your tags must be printed on white card stock 60 – 67#. Paper tags tear easily and end up falling off. Tags printed on anything other than white will ensure that your items that did not sell will be sorted and returned to you. After printing tags please check to make sure the barcode has completely printed and is clear and crisp. Not too faded, too light, too small or too dark or fuzzy. Properly printed barcode insures you get credit at time of sale.
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are donating your items to our Dollar Day Sale where 100% of our proceeds go to local families, print your tags on WHITE CARD STOCK. This will also allow you to shop earlier than those that wish to have their items back.
If you would like some or all of your items back, you must print those items on a light colored card stock AND clip the bottom right hand corner. This will ensure that you get the item back if it does not sell. Remember the system does allow you to decide which items you want donated and which you do not just by printing those items separately.
Quick Tip: Once you have printed your items on the colored card stock, stack them together and snip the right corner. Voila! All of them are done!
Tags should be securely fastened to clothing using safety pins, tagging gun (not required) and/or zip ties. All other items, tags can be attached with painters tape, clear tape or zip ties.
