Want to shop early, but can’t find time to volunteer? Kidcycle LOVES to barter!
Kidcycle offers a way for families to do or give something in return for shopping early! It’s called “bartering.” Bartering helps us keep our costs down and return a large percentage of sales to the participating families.
Bartering Consignors earn the standard Consignor percentage on their sales (unless specified below) and earn one presale pass to the Volunteer presale on Date to be determined.
Barter opportunities are filled on a first requested basis, beginning April 1st, by contacting michelle@kidcyclenc.com with your request.
Provide Stamps
If you are able to provide 1 roll of first class stamps (that’s 100 postcard stamps) you’ll earn an 8-hour (Marvelous) presale pass.
Infant, Children’s and OB Nurses/Office or Preschool Staff
If you work at a hospital, doctor or dentist’s office, preschool (or any other type of office for that matter) that caters to infants and children or pregnant mommies in Durham or Orange County, you have the opportunity to earn a 4 hour (Excellent) barter presale pass by passing out at least 25 shop early passes and spreading the word by flyer or listserv.
White Laundry Baskets
We need new laundry baskets for our shoppers. Purchase and bring 3 white, sturdy laundry baskets and drop off at our sale, and earn a 4 hour (Excellent) barter pass.
Printing
If you can print 250 pages of our flier or other BW print document, on specified paper and deliver to a drop off location, you will earn an 4 hour (Excellent) volunteer pass.
Provide snacks
For this barter, you’ll earn one 4 hour (Excellent) presale pass for providing snack items at the sale. These snacks are for our Volunteers/Exchange Workers to have during their shift. List is provided.
Security
Loan us your husband, father, brother to work a 3 hour security shift, and earn a 4 hour (Excellent) volunteer pass. Security individual should be outgoing and comfortable speaking and interacting with shoppers. This option does earn a no consignor fee status.
Office Gift Card
A $20 gift card from Office Max, Staples or Office Depot will earn you a 4 hour (Excellent) barter pass.
